Your shared memory for every class, move, and video

Welcome to Dancing Moves.

Track your dance practice, catch up on missed lessons, and turn scattered videos into searchable knowledge together.

The idea

What is Dancing Moves?

Think of it as your personal dance notebook and dance tracker, powered by a community. Keep track of the dances you love, the courses you join, the people you meet, and the moves you learn, all in one place. Teaching classes? You can also announce courses and prepare lessons.

Built for practice

How does it work?

The app stores your dance notes in a central database (Google Firestore), so your class notes and practice progress stay available across devices.

Inside an organisation, you can decide who gets read, write, or admin access. You can choose from four access modes:

Special rights for course videos let you limit access to selected courses by using course passwords. Share the password via the course share link from the Settings page, and only people with that special right can open those video links.

Dancing Moves runs directly in your browser on nearly every device, with no classic installation required. Your browser automatically caches the app and core content (except videos and images), so key parts remain available when your internet connection is weak or temporarily unavailable.

The person behind it

Who am I?

I am Marco Volkert, a developer and a dancer. I built this app for myself first, then kept improving it until it became useful for other dancers too.
